How LOOLAKOOLA Uses Customer’s Personal Information

  • Account Registration and Management. LOOLAKOOLA uses customer’s personal information to process orders, to send notifications about orders or accounts, and to arrange returns and other similar purposes.
  • Marketing and Advertising. LOOLAKOOLA uses customer’s personal information for marketing and promotional purposes, such as advertising and promotional communications by email.
  • Security and Fraud Prevention. LOOLAKOOLA uses customer’s personal information to detect, investigate or take action regarding possible fraudulent or illegal activity. If a customer chooses to use Services and registers an account, the customer is responsible for keeping customer’s account information safe. A customer should not share the account’s access details with any third parties.   • Communicating with Customers. LOOLAKOOLA uses customer’s personal information to provide and improve Services. This is for being responsive to customers, providing satisfying Services to customers, and maintaining supportive relationship with customers.

 

Retention of Customer’s Personal Information

1) LOOLAKOOLA processes and retains personal information within the period specified by laws or the period of consent obtained from the customers at the time of collecting personal information.
2) For registration and management of an account, LOOLAKOOLA processes and retains personal information until deletion of the account. However, in the following cases, LOOLAKOOLA processes and retains personal information until the cases end.
(1) In case an investigation or inquiry is being conducted due to a violation of relevant laws.
(2) In case of any remaining debt resulted from the use of loolakoola.com.
3) For providing goods, LOOLAKOOLA processes and retains personal information until the completion of providing goods, and of payment and settlement of fees. However, in the following cases, LOOLAKOOLA processes and retains personal information according to the respective cases.

② Computer Communication, Internet Log Records, Access Point Tracking Data: 3 months

 

Disclosure of Customer’s Personal Information
LOOLAKOOLA provides customer’s personal information to third parties only with the consent of the customers and for legitimate purposes specified in this Privacy Policy. Third parties that receive customer’s personal information from LOOLAKOOLA are as follows:

Personal information provided: Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address
Period for retention and use by the recipient: Until the completion of providing goods (However, personal information that must be retained for a certain period under relevant laws will be deleted after the specified period.)

Recipient of the provided personal information: Logen Logistics
Purpose of use by the recipient: Delivery and Tracking of orders within South Korea
Personal information provided: Name, Address and Telephone Number
Period for retention and use by the recipient: Until the completion of providing goods (However, personal information that must be retained for a certain period under relevant laws will be deleted after the specified period.)

Recipient of the provided personal information: ePost
Purpose of use by the recipient: Delivery and Tracking of orders through EMS
Personal information Provided: Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email Address and CPF/CNPJ(only for customers in Brazil).

Period for retention and use by the recipient: Until the completion of providing goods (However, personal information that must be retained for a certain period under relevant laws will be deleted after the specified period.)

Rights of Customers and Exercise of Rights

1) A customer can exercise the following rights related to personal information protection against LOOLAKOOLA at any time:
(1) Request access to personal information
(2) Request correction if there are errors in personal information
(3) Request deletion of an account
(4) Request suspension of processing personal information
2) The exercise of rights can be made by email. LOOLAKOOLA will promptly take appropriate actions in response.
3) The exercise of rights may also be carried out through a legal representative of the customer or a person authorized by the customer. In such cases, the representative must submit a power of attorney to prove that the customer have authorized the representative to act on customer’s behalf.
4) If a customer requests correction or deletion of personal information, LOOLAKOOLA will not use or provide the relevant personal information until the modification is applied.
5) A customer must not infringe upon the 「Personal Information Protection Act」 or other relevant laws by invading privacy of the other customers while using Services.
How to Collect and Use Customer’s Personal Information

To provide Services, LOOLAKOOLA collects customer’s personal information from a variety of sources, as specified in this Privacy Policy. The information collected and used by LOOLAKOOLA can vary depending on how a customer interacts with LOOLAKOOLA.

In addition to the specified uses, LOOLAKOOLA uses customer’s personal information to provide Services, and to protect rights of the customers and LOOLAKOOLA. LOOLAKOOLA also can use customer’s personal information to comply with any applicable legal obligations.

2) In cases where personal information must be retained in accordance with other laws despite the expiration of the retention period or the achievement of the processing purposes, LOOLAKOOLA will transfer the personal information to a separate database or store it in a different location for retention.

LOOLAKOOLA selects the personal information for deletion when the reasons for deletion occur and obtains approval from LOOLAKOOLA’s Personal Information Protection Manager before proceeding with the deletion of personal information.
(2) Deletion Methods
For personal information recorded or stored in the form of electronic files, LOOLAKOOLA shall delete the data using a method such as Low Level Format so that the data cannot be reproduced. For personal information recorded or stored on paper documents, LOOLAKOOLA shall shred or incinerate them for deletion.
